Designed for a medium-to-heavy load, BoltHold SP18-716 chemical anchors resist at least 2,500 pounds pull and 2,000 pounds of high shear force at ground level. Rated for 280 in-lb rotary torque, the anchor's welded spiral offers a strong bond with the grout, while the washer at the top prevents the anchor from dropping below the surface or being pulled up into the mounting plate when tightening the bolt.
- LONG TERM STABILITY: Creates a stress-free bond that lasts! Due to asphalt's weaker nature, typical expansion-type wedge anchors used in concrete won't hold to the pressure. BoltHold anchors solve this problem by embedding deep into the compacted gravel below the asphalt layer to increase the shear resistance and ensure long-lasting stability—perfect for safely installing carports, sheds, bike racks, signage, lights, parking barriers, and many more asphalt mounting applications.

For quick installation, drill a hole deep into the asphalt and the gravel below it and fill with EPX2 or EXP3 Anchoring Grout (sold separately). Push in the anchor until it is flush with the asphalt surface and allow grout to harden. Anchors are ready for use in 15 minutes. Full strength may take one hour.
