All laminating pouches are not the same. Oregon Lamination 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" business card size 5 mil heat activated thermal laminating pouches for up to 2” x 3.5” cards are high clarity after adhesive is heat activated. The clear glossy finish protects and enhances colors. These laminates are 7 mil thick on each side flap for extra strength, rigidity and protection. ALERT: Many pouch laminators on the market can seal a maximum of only 5 mil pouches, so PLEASE make sure your laminator is capable of sealing 7 mil pouches prior to ordering. (If you don’t have your machine’s manual, a good reference is if your laminator has either a speed control OR a temperature control, it will likely seal 7 mil pouches). Note: Industry standard specification for 7 mil laminating pouches is 7 mil on each flap for a total of 14 mil added to your paper sheet. 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch (metric: 25 microns). The industry calls these pouches, yet they are sealed on only one edge instead of three (like a folder, but with 3/32” flat seal for the fold).
