Aluminum Certified Reference Material, Wrought Alloy, 6xxx, WA6000

Arconic Spectrochemical Reference Materials, located at the Arconic Technology Center near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has been producing certified reference materials (CRMs) and reference materials (RMs) for the aluminum industry for more than 70 years. Our CRMs are widely recognized for their uniformity and accuracy of certification. Arconic CRMs and RMs are typically used for calibration, drift correction, quality assurance, and method validation for Spark-AES instrumentation used by the aluminum industry to verify the composition of aluminum and aluminum alloys. We maintain a large inventory of CRMs and RMs consisting of more than 300 alloy compositions targeted to meet the needs of the aluminum industry. Arconic Spectrochemical Reference Materials holds accreditations for the following ISO standards: Guide 34:2009, 17025:2005, and 9001:2008. Arconic produces CRMs for a wide assortment of wrought alloys registered by the Aluminum Association. CRMs identified with the ‘SS’ prefix followed by the alloy designation denote the CRM that most closely matches the nominal registered composition. CRMs identified with the ‘WA’ through ‘WZ’ prefixes are range CRMs. These are typically used for establishing calibration curves by bracketing the composition range of one or more elements in the alloy of interest.
