Eleven different types of LED chip are combined to produce a broadband blue spectrum that more closely mimics the natural ocean environment. The tuna blue light is bright and beautiful with plenty of actinic light to make corals pop. By spreading the light out across a wide range of wavelengths, the bulb produces bright light that grows healthy corals without overwhelming the zooxanthellae living in their tissues. This reduces the risk of bleaching. The broad spectrum light is designed to accentuate florescence and improve contrast.
